HALF DAY GUIDED TOUR
The main political Apulian city, Bari is an undiscovered gem, rich in history, art and traditions.
Our tour is divided into two parts: a Sightseeing by car/van/bus along the elegant Seafront built in the 20th Century, as well as along the so called Murat’s chessboard-shaped District, and a Walk in the old town.
The ancient maze of streets known as Bari Vecchia (literally old Bari), is like a town within a city, boasting its own lifestyle, culture as well as Medieval monuments.
Our guided tour will be funny and interesting at the same time, as it weaves history and traditions: the visit to the imposing Castle and to the Cathedral will be followed by a stroll through the streets where we will meet our moms sitting in front of their doorways, while chatting and preparing homemade pasta. And after visiting the Basilica of St Nicholas, we won’t miss a tasting of the local Focaccia (a sort of “pizza” bread) in a traditional bakery, as well as a local sweet at the end of the tour.
